Level Up Your Classroom Experience
The Virtual Reality Learning Initiative (VIRLI) was a collaborative effort between the Michigan Association of Intermediate School Administrators (MAISA), Intermediate School Districts (ISDs), and Great Lakes Reality Labs to provide virtual education using gamification and immersive technologies.
During the summer of 2023, the VIRLI project was retired and is being replaced by EmergeNET, which will launch in early 2024.

From virtual reality to Chromebooks, VIRLI has hundreds of hours of instruction!
We work with teachers, parents, assistive technology experts, and industry professionals to curate a growing library of education-appropriate immersive content (called “modules”). These modules come from talented developers such as Google, BBC, Curiosity Stream, and more!
